Abstract
This virtual webinar convenes two of the most influential leaders in headache medicine—the President of the European Headache Federation and the President of the International Headache Society—to explore how the global community can strengthen recognition, prioritisation, and management of migraine and other headache disorders.
The discussion will address how professional societies are shaping strategic and operational frameworks to elevate migraine as a critical public health issue, including approaches to improving awareness, diagnosis, and care delivery across diverse healthcare systems. Speakers will offer insights into how coordinated models of care, policy engagement, and professional education can drive more consistent recognition of the burden associated with headache disorders worldwide.
In addition, the session will examine the broader societal and global health implications of improving migraine care, including its potential contribution to advancing international development priorities. The conversation will highlight how strengthening advocacy, expanding access to care, and addressing unmet patient needs may translate into measurable progress in population health, productivity, and equity by the end of the decade.
By combining expert perspectives with forward-looking strategies, this webinar will provide attendees with a deeper understanding of the role that leadership, collaboration, and innovation play in transforming headache care and positioning it within the wider global health agenda.
