A recent systematic review examining the role of artificial intelligence in transforming midwifery education and maternal healthcare practices in Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

Exploring how artificial intelligence is transforming midwifery education and maternal healthcare practices in Egypt and Saudi Arabia through innovation, education, and evidence-based clinical applications.

Artificial intelligence is increasingly transforming maternal and obstetric healthcare through innovations in clinical practice, healthcare education, and decision-making systems. In our recent systematic review, we explored the integration of AI in midwifery and maternal healthcare practices across Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

The review highlighted how AI-supported technologies, including predictive algorithms and electronic partographs, can improve labor management, maternal monitoring, and healthcare outcomes. It also demonstrated the importance of structured educational programs in improving healthcare professionals’ awareness, attitudes, and readiness toward AI adoption in nursing and midwifery practice.

Our findings identified several opportunities for integrating AI into women’s healthcare while also addressing challenges such as ethical concerns, workflow adaptation, insufficient training, and data privacy. The study emphasizes the need for interdisciplinary collaboration and evidence-based strategies to ensure safe and effective AI implementation in maternal healthcare systems.

Advancing nursing research, healthcare innovation, and women’s health remains essential for improving the quality of care and supporting future healthcare transformation.https://carcinogenesis.com/index.php/JOC/article/view/1628
