Educational systems in low-resource and fragile contexts continue to face significant challenges related to equity, foundational learning, and access to quality education. As researchers and reviewers, we have a shared responsibility to promote rigorous, transparent, and policy-relevant scholarship that contributes to meaningful educational transformation.

My recent research interests focus on:

  • Machine learning applications in education
  • Geospatial and multilevel analysis of educational inequalities
  • Foundational learning and school effectiveness
  • Evidence-based educational policy in Somaliland and Somalia
