What is this collection about?
Neurodevelopmental disorders arise from atypical development of the nervous system and often affect learning, communication, social interaction, sensory processing and motor skills. This Collection brings together Communications Biology, Communications Medicine, Communications Health, Nature Progress Brain Health, Nature Communications, Nature Neuroscience and Scientific Reports to showcase research on the mechanisms underlying the onset and progression of neurodevelopmental disorders in humans and animal models. The editors welcome pre-clinical, clinical and population-based studies exploring pathophysiology, diagnosis and therapeutic developments, including translational studies linking genetic findings with circuit dysfunction and behavioural outcomes.
