What is this collection about?
Extreme temperatures are increasing in frequency and intensity due to climate change, contributing to global mortality and morbidity. Both heat and cold exposures affect human health, with disproportionate impacts on vulnerable populations and significant implications for health systems worldwide.
In this Collection, the editors at Communications Health invite submissions that characterise the diverse impacts of extreme temperatures on population health. We also welcome studies that develop methods to better predict, manage and mitigate these impacts, including through behavioural adaptation and the development of resilient health systems. The Collection will consider original research Articles as well as Reviews, Perspectives and Comments.
