Collection Overview
Scientific Reports has launched a Guest-Edited Collection on Ocean currents and climate change.
Ocean currents driven by wind, water density, tides, ocean floor features, or the Coriolis effect, have an important role on climate regulation and marine ecology. In turn, increasing water surface temperatures are already impacting ocean circulation patterns, potentially exacerbating climate change effects. Understanding changes in ocean dynamics at local and global scales will be crucial to predict climate change impact and inform mitigation strategies.
This will be a Collection of original research papers and will be open for submissions from all authors – on the condition that the manuscripts fall within the scope of the Collection and of Scientific Reports more generally. We are welcoming submissions until 30th April 2026.
