What is this collection about?
Haematopoietic cells of the immune system continuously interact with stromal cells within tissues and lymphoid organs, helping to direct immune function and maintain tissue health. This cross-journal Collection, led by Nature Communications, Nature Immunology, Communications Biology, Communications Medicine and Scientific Reports, invites original research focused on identifying the mechanisms that govern stromal-immune cell interactions. Areas of interest include stromal cell coordination of immune cell development, tissue-resident stromal-immune interactions involved in immune surveillance and tissue homeostasis, and immunopathologies such as chronic inflammatory disease, tissue fibrosis and cancer. Submissions are encouraged by 29 April 2027.
