Hello everyone! My name is Gabriela Nascimento. I am a physiotherapist with a Master’s and a PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences.
My professional work is mainly focused on musculoskeletal physiotherapy and the care of people with chronic pain, combining clinical practice with research.
Throughout my Master’s and PhD, I have conducted research related to chronic musculoskeletal pain, with a particular interest in neck pain, therapeutic exercise, pain modulation strategies, and factors related to functioning and disability. During my PhD, I conducted a clinical trial involving people with chronic neck pain, investigating different therapeutic approaches and their effects on pain and disability.
I am very interested in continuing to develop research in the field of chronic pain, particularly at the intersection of physical and psychosocial factors, therapeutic exercise, and evidence-based clinical practice.
I joined this community to follow the discussions, exchange experiences with other researchers and healthcare professionals, and learn about different perspectives and areas of research.
