How can I measure engagement with my post?

We all want to see our work having an impact. Measuring the analytics of your post can help you to discover how far your work is reaching and how people are engaging with your blog post. Read on to find out more about how your post is performing.

Analytics tracking

The analytics for your posts can be accessed from the profile drop-down menu in the top right corner (under your profile photo). You can navigate to the analytics page by clicking on the ‘My Analytics’ tab.

This will take you to a page showing the views, likes, comments and the number of people who clicked through to read your paper ('Read the Paper').

You can change the time period you are looking at by clicking on the date range and selecting specific dates, or a period such as the current week/month/year or previous week/month/year.

Boosting views and engagement

You may see an increase in views that corresponds to:

  1. When your post was shared in daily, weekly, or monthly digests from the Community;
  2. When you shared the post with your networks; or,
  3. If your post was shared through social media.

You can also boost opportunities for engagement by sharing your post through your own social media channels, as well as encouraging your team and institution to do the same.
