Infographic: Interdisciplinarity in the Social Sciences

A Social Science Matters article showcasing the results of Palgrave Macmillan's 2017 survey into interdisciplinarity

As a part of the Springer Nature Social Science Survey in 2017 we asked our participants for their thoughts on interdisciplinarity in the social sciences.

Reviewing the results from 491 participants we found some interesting results. While 61% of researchers said that people from different disciplines don't understand each other easily, 17% of the surveyed participants said that they expect research to be more interdisciplinary in 10 years time.
