Opportunities, From the Editors

Join Catal's Editorial Board

Catal welcomes researchers from the catalysis community, who are interested in serving on the editorial board of our esteemed journal!

Catal is an open access journal expected to be launched in 2025, as a leading outlet for the full spectrum of critical catalysis and reaction engineering for energy, environment, health, and other essential engineering and science fields, particularly fostering innovation and sustainability. It integrates fundamentals and applied sciences with a broad scope from conventional heterogeneous catalysis to newly emerging biocatalysts.

Joining Catal is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to your community. Following our current coverage of the full spectrum of catalysis, and to support the development of the journal, we are now recruiting our passionate and motivated Editorial Board.

Who are we looking for?

Our Editorial Board Members are experts in their fields, with a high research profile. We encourage applications from researchers with a background in a range of subject areas in catalysis fields, broadly covered by the areas below:

  • Catalytic materials, such as catalysts design and fabrication
  • Photocatalysis
  • Thermocatalysis
  • Environmental catalysis
  • Biocatalysts, enzymatic and chemoenzymatic catalysis
  • Nanostructured catalysis
  • Industrial catalysis
  • Asymmetric catalysis
  • Organocatalysis
  • Catalytic mechanisms
  • Computational and theoretical catalysis
  • Fundamental catalysis research, like liquid metal catalysis

What would be expected of you?

Editorial Board Members are primarily responsible for:

  • Championing Catal in their research communities
  • Serving as reviewers for their suitability from time to time
  • Contributing to the development strategy of the journal
