What are the aims and scope of this journal?

Current Genetic Medicine Reports provides a home for all aspects of genetic medicine research. It has an inclusive scope that will consider all valid research, including negative and positive results, as well as shorter and longer communications. What would be expected of you?

The Editorial Board Member role would involve:

  • Assessing manuscripts for their suitability for peer review.
  • Selecting suitable reviewers.
  • Making editorial decisions on manuscripts after peer review, in line with the journal’s editorial policies and inclusive editorial criteria. Editorial decisions focus on the scientific validity of the research presented, rather than its perceived impact or novelty.
  • Sharing your advice on the journal’s future development and participating in board meetings when possible. 

Who are we looking for? 

Suitable candidates should:

  • Have demonstrable expertise that fits within the scope and the need of the journal.
  • Hold a PhD or equivalent research degree in a relevant field.
  • Have a minimum of fifteen (15) peer-reviewed research publications.
  • Have experience of writing peer reviews.
  • Be an active and responsive researcher who is willing and available to engage with the journal as a reliable Editor.
