The standard dark matter paradigm successfully explains many cosmological observations, yet several empirical relations in galaxies suggest the existence of deeper dynamical regularities.
In the Effective Viscoelastic Spacetime Model (EVM), spacetime is treated as an effective medium with delayed gravitational response properties analogous to viscoelastic systems.
Under this interpretation:
• gravitational response is not purely instantaneous,
• galactic dynamics may contain memory-like effects,
• and the observed Radial Acceleration Relation (RAR) may emerge naturally from spacetime response behavior.
The framework does not necessarily replace general relativity but explores an emergent large-scale effective description of gravitational dynamics.
Possible implications include:
- interpretation of flat galaxy rotation curves,
- reduced dependence on particle dark matter assumptions,
