Quantifying the shift of public export finance from fossil fuels to renewable energy

Export credit agencies (ECAs) de-risk and enable energy projects worldwide. Here, we analyze 921 energy deals backed by ECAs from 31 OECD and non-OECD countries to identify the direction and patterns of ECA energy financing, including fossil fuels, renewables, and grid infrastructure since 2013.
