In a pushback to President Trump’s comments that media are “the enemy of the people,” more than 165 biotech leaders signed a letter supporting a free press. 

Citing no evidence that today’s media are less accurate or more biased than in the past, the letter calls the fourth estate “foundational to the scientific method” and warns that society benefits when its members are exposed to ideas and views they may not agree with.
