Advances in molecular beam and laser techniques have made it possible to study chemical reactions experimentally at an increasingly granular level. Theoretical studies of reactions have also expanded thanks to improvements in computational methods for modelling large molecular systems. Scientific Reports, a journal in the Nature Research family, is proud to welcome original primary research articles for our upcoming “Molecular reaction dynamics” Collection.
This Collection will assemble research articles furthering our understanding of reaction dynamics. It will include studies on photodissociation, surface interactions and interface interactions. Submissions are welcome that employ techniques such as pulsed lasers for optimal molecular alignment and orientation.
Submissions for this Collection will be open through the end of September 2019. More information about this Collection and how to submit a manuscript can be found here.
The Collection is Guest Edited by Professor King-Chuen Lin, National Taiwan University. He specializes in photodissociation and reaction dynamics, atmospheric chemistry, materials designed for sensors and catalysts, and single molecule spectroscopy. He received the Academic Award from the Taiwan Ministry of Education in 2014, and the Richard B. Bernstein Award at the International Conference on Stereodynamics in 2018. Professor Lin has been serving as Editorial Board Member for Scientific Reports since 2017.
