April 22nd is Earth Day and the focus is ending plastic pollution, including creating support for a global effort to eliminate single-use plastics along with global regulation for the disposal of plastics.

In support of Earth Day 2018, we highlight top content, including articles and book chapters, on environmental topics across a range of Springer Nature publications.
