Nature Water Talks are online events organized by the Nature Water journal team with the aim to provide a space to discuss a range of topics related to water resources and their relationship to society. Our next Nature Water Talk - Waiting for the UN Water Conferencewill take place on Wednesday 15th March 2023, 8pm Central European Time/3pm US Eastern Time.

Almost 50 years have passed since the first UN Water Conference was held in Mar del Plata, Argentina, in 1977. The second UN Water Conference, which will be held in New York on March 22-24, 2023, comes at the midpoint of the 2018-2028 Water Action Decade.

You are invited to join Quentin Grafton (Australian National University), Joyeeta Gupta (University of Amsterdam), John Matthews (AGWA), Rachael McDonnell (IWMI) and Karin Sjöstrand  (Nature Water) as we anticipate the upcoming UN Water Conference, our expectations of the event and the challenges and opportunities on the road ahead.
