Intelligence is an important factor in education and learning. In this editorial from Nature magazine, which touches on a recent meta-analysis of genetic studies of intelligence, the case is made for more research into the genetic and biological bases of intelligence. Two review articles in npj Science of Learning are relevant here: Genetics and educational attainment by David Cesarini and Peter Visscher, and Individual differences in the learning potential of human beings by Elsbeth Stern.
