Supplying a pharmacy for NASA exploration spaceflight: challenges and current understanding

In the absence of terrestrial medical facilities, astronauts rely primarily on pharmaceuticals to manage medical concerns during spaceflight. However, there has been very little study of medications in the space environment, leading to a number of questions regarding drug effectiveness or stability in space.
