This Top 100 collection highlights the most read papers from 2024, featuring insightful research, highlighting the valuable contribution to our understanding of the Earth and its ecosystems.   

This year the research covered diverse topics such as the study of an extinct mammal that has no analogues in the modern fauna, research on discovery of petroglyphs and dinosaur footprints in Northeast Brazil, first deep-snouted tyrannosaur from Upper Cretaceous, Cannabis pollen dispersal, and Ecological modeling of Tiger's hyperdimensional niches that led to new species discoveryand many more within Evolutionary biology!  

In environmental science and its management, some of the most read research included studies on landcover change to vegetation in 3 decades, rainfall extremes under anthropogenic warming, mapping the deforestation in Africa, long-term snow track indices to track raccoon dog and the native red fox.  These studies lay the groundwork for developing new indices, mapping tools and methodologies to explore the environment and up-coming challenges.
