Protocols and methods content is indispensable for all researchers, including those in corporate R&D labs. The traditional images of crusty old procedures printed out and taped above hoods or barely decipherable hand-written lab notebooks, however, are very different from how modern industrial labs operate. The industrial space has long been a continuous driver and adopter of digital lab technologies like electronic lab notebooks (ELNs) and lab information management systems (LIMs). Recent trends have focused on scientific data management and workflow integration between instruments and analytics software.
Recognizing the unique needs of industry, and how protocols and methods content remains a vital element of R&D, the Springer Nature Experiments Team is excited to invite corporate researchers to participate in user research. Any researchers in any area of pharma, biotech, or healthcare are welcome to participate in the process. Better understanding firsthand the pain points, goals, and workflows will allow us to build the best possible tools to support and accelerate corporate R&D projects.
The first step in participating is filling out this form. Our User Experience Team will then schedule individual interviews in the coming weeks (where applicable, incentives will be provided for participation).
We look forward to working with you on developing fantastic new solutions and very much look forward to hearing from you soon. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly with questions.
