AI tools like ChatGPT and Copilot are becoming part of research workflows, but opinions of using them are mixed.   Our recent surveys show that over half of PhD students (53%) and nearly a third of postdocs (31%) use AI for tasks like summarising literature, refining text, or coding. However, 81% of PhD students say they do not fully trust the outputs, and many researchers want clear guidance on ethical use and disclosure. Privacy concerns also limit what data they share.   We’d love to hear your thoughts:  Are you using AI tools in your research? For what tasks?   Do you trust the outputs?
