About ESRA DEMİR ÜNAL
I am an Associate Professor of Neurology at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Türkiye, with a clinical and research focus on movement disorders, particularly Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, tremor, and genetic parkinsonism. My research interests include clinical phenotyping, genotype–phenotype relationships, molecular mechanisms of neurodegeneration, and advanced therapies such as deep brain stimulation and device-aided treatments. I am also interested in quantitative EEG, event-related potentials, neuroimaging, and artificial intelligence–assisted analysis to investigate neural mechanisms and improve clinical research. Through interdisciplinary and international collaborations, I aim to bridge clinical neurology, neuroscience, and molecular genetics to advance our understanding of movement disorders.
