About EVANS AKWABOAH

I am an aspiring Clinical Research Scientist based in Ghana, a middle-income country in Sub-Saharan Africa. With a strong academic background in Biological Sciences, I have developed a deep interest in clinical research, public health, and science communication. My professional journey is rooted in an unwavering commitment to improving health outcomes through rigorous research, ethical practice, and accessible science communication.

Over the past few years, I have completed numerous accredited online certifications and training programs in clinical research, including modules on good clinical practice (GCP), ethical and regulatory frameworks, study design, and trial management. These experiences have equipped me with a solid foundation in clinical research principles and a readiness to contribute meaningfully to Africa’s evolving health research ecosystem.

My research interests lie at the intersection of non-communicable suchcancer and infectious diseases, health systems, and innovative interventions that address disparities in healthcare access and delivery—particularly in resource-limited settings. I am passionate about generating and translating evidence to inform practice and policy, especially in the context of Sub-Saharan Africa.

Beyond research, I am a science communicator and writer, dedicated to demystifying scientific knowledge for the public, practitioners, and policymakers. I conduct and write extensive literature reviews, opinion pieces, and educational content on emerging topics in biological and health sciences. As a co-founder of NAP ResearchPal Consult, I also mentor and support young scholars and early-career researchers in developing high-quality academic theses and publications.
