About Hitesh G Changela
I specialise in meteoritics and planetary science, with a particular interest on the astrobiology of planetary materials. This ranges from martian, asteroid, cometary to interstellar samples. My research ranges from unravelling prebiotic evolution of the early Solar System, the action of water on Mars and its habitability, to disambiguating potential extraterrestrial biomarkers from the Red Planet. I primarily use techniques in electron and synchrotron based X-ray microscopy working on space borne sample return missions to achieve this.
