About Luigi Bibbo'
I was born in Naples on June 1981. He received a B.D. and a M.D. in Biomedical Engineering at University of Naples “Federico II” (Department of Biomedical Engineering Electronics Telecommunications) Italy in 2006 and 2009, and Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at the Second University of Naples, Italy in 2014. From Sept. 2013 to May 2014, I was Visiting Scientist at Tufts University of Boston (USA) in Ultrafast non-linear Optics and Photonics Laboratory for research in hybrid plasmonic crystal. From April 2016 to Nov. 2018, I was post-doc researcher at College of Electronics and Information Engineering of Shenzhen University (CHINA) for research in plasmonic metamaterials. From Febr. 2019 to July2019 he was Research fellow at Nanophotonic Research Center (NCR) for research in OAM multiplexing. From August 2019 to August 2022day, he was Researcher at DIIES at University” Mediterranea” of Reggio Calabria (ITALY)for the project “Integrated monitoring and tracking system in indoor environments “and lecturer of the course of Electronic Bioengineering. From March 2023 to February 2024, he was a researcher at the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Florence on the design, development and validation of Robotics, IoT and Artificial Intelligence technologies for biomedical applications. From April to date, he has been a researcher at the Department of DICEAM of the University “Mediterranea” of Reggio Calabria on the design and realization of a forecasting system on the impact of the forest system on territorial and urban transformations. His research interest includes plasmonic resonance on which he worked for the realization of biosensors in polymeric optical fiber and photonic crystals. He was also interested in the research for innovative devices, in the visible-infrared range based on combination of plasmonic nanoparticles with tunable dielectric matrix, creating optical devices such as tunable biosensors, optical filters, high speed modulators, radiation-direction steerable nanoantennae, and plasmonic structure for efficient LEDs. He worked on vortex beam and orbital angular momemtum by metasurface. Currently my research activity is focused on firmware design for applications on motion analysis, Multimodal Neural Interfaces for Passive Exoskeletons: EEG-EMG Fusion and Cognitive-Adaptive Feedback Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, GIS , Remote Sensing, and Predictive models.
