About Shaheen Mohammed Saleh Ahmed
Dr. Shaheen Mohammed Saleh Ahmed is an accomplished academic with extensive expertise in geophysics, seismology, artificial intelligence, and environmental sustainability. Holding a B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Baghdad and an M.Sc. and PhD. from Cukukurova University Turkey in Engineering Geology, Dr. Ahmed is currently affiliated with the Middle East Center of Seismic and Tectonic Analysis and is an academic member of the Department of Geology at Kirkuk University, Iraq.
His research prominently focuses on seismic prediction, earthquake hazard assessment, and the integration of advanced machine learning and deep learning methodologies, including Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) networks. Dr. Ahmed has conducted extensive research on seismic activities and fault-line analysis, notably contributing innovative methods for earthquake forecasting and risk assessment in the Marmara Sea region of Turkey and the Middle East.
Dr. Ahmed is proficient in Python programming for data analysis and deep learning applications and has extensive experience with remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), and seismic data interpretation. He has been trained by NASA and other international institutions in remote sensing applications for disaster management.
An active contributor and reviewer for multiple esteemed journals, including Heliyon, Arabian Journal of Geosciences, and Journal of Building Engineering, Dr. Ahmed has published numerous impactful research papers and continuously participates in scientific dialogues through journal reviews and paper submissions.
