About Silvia Protopapa

My research centers on the compositional characterization of small bodies in the outer Solar System, such as comets and trans-Neptunian objects. I interpret infrared spectral imaging observations from both ground- and space-based platforms through spectral modeling and laboratory studies, with the goal of providing deeper insights into the origins and evolutionary processes of these bodies. This approach is key to understanding the complex histories that have shaped these distant objects.
