About Siyakudumisa Nontamo

Siyakudumisa Nontamo is a researcher in public health and implementation science with a focus on improving HIV treatment access and health system safety in resource-limited settings. His principal research examines same-day antiretroviral therapy (ART) initiation, studying implementation pathways, healthcare provider practices, and policy implications to increase rapid linkage to care. Complementary work includes quality improvement projects to strengthen outpatient-to-emergency-department transfers and community-facing screening initiatives using mobile/digital tools (including the ECAS app used in cancer screening outreach). Siyakudumisa has practical experience in stakeholder engagement, protocol development, and manuscript preparation, and regularly collaborates with clinicians, public-health teams, and academic partners to translate evidence into practice. He is actively preparing manuscripts and review articles on same-day ART implementation and on operational interventions that improve continuity and safety of care.
