Wheat blast: a potential catastrophic threat to global food security
Wheat blast is a destructive disease of our major food crop, wheat. It was first detected in Brazil and then gradually spread to Argentina, Bolivia and Paraguay. The first epidemic outbreak of wheat blast in Bangladesh was in 2016 and in Zambia in 2018.
