E-CLARITY: Edge-assisted cluster management architecture for energy-aware vehicular communications in NR-V2X networks

This work presents a standards-compliant framework that combines SDN coordination with RSU edge assistance to optimize cluster management in dynamic NR-V2X Mode 2 vehicular networks.

The proposed approach addresses key challenges in vehicular communications, including cluster stability, energy consumption, communication reliability, and end-to-end latency, particularly in dense and realistic urban scenarios.

The evaluation demonstrates improved cluster stability, reduced vehicular power consumption, high packet delivery reliability, and bounded end-to-end latency.
