The protection of human rights is central to the most significant challenges facing societies today. From health, education, migration, and inequality to climate change, conflict, technology, and sustainable development, research helps us better understand how rights are protected, experienced, and advanced across diverse contexts.
This Topic provides a space for researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and advocates to share insights, discuss emerging issues, and highlight the impact of their work. We welcome contributions from across disciplines, recognising the value and importance of collaboration and the academic exchange of diverse perspectives in advancing human rights discourse.
The Topic also supports the goals of Springer Nature's SDG Programme, which seeks to connect research with policy and practice to help address urgent global challenges and accelerate progress towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Human rights are closely linked to the Goals, including those focused on health, education, gender equality, reduced inequalities, and peace, justice and strong institutions.
