Arginine-modified black phosphorus quantum dots with dual excited states for enhanced electrochemiluminescence in bioanalysis
Ju’s group found a dual excited states-mediated electrochemiluminescence (ECL) mechanism from both the S1 and T1 species with black phosphorus quantum dots (BPQDs) as a nanoemitter, and proposed a strategy to modulate the excited states via arginine modification to enhance the ECL efficiency.
Cyclic di-GMP is central to the function of T3SSs
Cyclic di-GMP transduces extracellular stimuli into intracellular responses to modulate important biological processes. Little is known about how extracellular signals modulate c-di-GMP metabolism to control T3SSs. Here is the answer.
Putting the pieces together: Developing a new tool to comprehensively update the Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv reference sequence
H37Rv is the most widely used M. tuberculosis strain, and its genome is the reference sequence for this pathogen. Chitale et al. presents a bioinformatic pipeline for accurate assembly of bacterial genome sequences, and use it to provide important updates to the M. tuberculosis reference genome.
