Optical Axes of Triclinic Crystals in Wanderland
Wandering of optical axes of van der Waals rhenium disulphide or diselenide are enabled by the unique disposition of excitons in their lattices and broken crystal symmetries that together lead to the decoupling of absorption and refraction dielectric permittivities.
Efficient, narrow-band, and stable electroluminescence from organoboronnitrogen-carbonyl emitter
We report a molecular-design strategy, i.e., hybridization of organoboron-nitrogen and carbonyl. OLEDs exploiting binary emitting layers achieve ultrapure emission, a maximum efficiency of over 40% with mild roll-off, and operational stability of LT95~ 137 h of the initial luminance at 1000 nits.
On-body detection of unamplified nucleic acid
Wearables have been an emerging wave of technology for continuous monitoring a wide range of biomarkers, but is often overlooked in nucleic acid detection. This study dives into a toolbox for highly sensitive nucleic acid recognition in vivo.
Uncovering the intracellular target of candidalysin
Candidalysin, a cytolytic peptide toxin secreted by the human fungal pathogen Candida albicans, is critical for fungal pathogenesis. Yet, its intracellular targets have not been extensively mapped.
