Meeting Summary
Title: B Cell and Antibody Responses
Date: February 8 - 11, 2027
Location: Mercure London Earls Court, London, UK
Scientific Organizers: Gabriel D. Victora, Pia Dosenovic, and Andrea Reboldi
Keynote Speaker(s): Facundo D. Batista, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University
In addition to their essential role in defending against infection, B cells contribute to a wide range of immune processes, from driving allergic and autoimmune reactions to influencing cancer progression. The goal of the 'B cell and antibody responses' Symposium is to bring together scientists who have been driving forward these various aspects of B cell biology. We aim to provide a broad overview of ongoing efforts along two fronts: half of the program covers classic topics in the field—germinal centers, memory, vaccination—whereas the other half brings in topics that are not part of the traditional canon, including the structural basis of immunogenicity, B cell responses outside of secondary lymphoid organs, and efforts to treat diseases not classically regarded as B cell-driven. We expect this Symposium, in addition to bringing together the traditional B cell biology community, will also expose scientists to ground-breaking work done in areas that they do not normally attend to. By combining basic science with disease-oriented research in a single meeting, we hope attendees will leave with clear insights into both routine and cutting-edge methods, forge new connections across disciplines, and develop novel ideas for advancing B cell research in health and disease.

*Keystone Symposia Scholarships & Awards*
Keystone Symposia offers discounted registration to students in undergraduate, M.S., Ph.D., or M.D. programs, providing access to the latest scientific advances, technologies, and approaches to further research and careers.
In addition, several financial aid opportunities are also available to support attendance at its scientific meetings:
- Student and Postdoctoral Scholarships provide up to $1,200 to help defray travel, lodging, registration, and related costs when presenting a poster at an in-person conference. Awards are competitive, based on the abstract’s scientific quality and relevance, and you must apply by the individual scholarship deadline for the desired meeting (abstract + mentor letter required).
- Early-Career Travel Awards (ECITAs) support early-career investigators with funding to attend meetings; these also require application by the posted deadline for each conference.
- Global Health Travel Awards (GHTAs) provide financial aid for scientists, clinicians, fellows, and students from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) to participate in select Keystone Symposia meetings, especially those focused on global health topics. These awards may cover registration, lodging, airfare, and ground transportation, and applications are submitted through the Financial Aid Portal by the listed meeting deadlines.
