Call for Book Chapters: Dynamic Coasts of Malaysia— Advances in Asian Human-Environmental Research Series
Published in Earth & Environment and Sustainability
Malaysia’s coastal regions are undergoing rapid and complex transformations driven by natural processes and increasing human activities. Seasonal monsoons, sea-level rise, and changing hydrodynamic conditions are intensifying coastal erosion and reshaping shoreline morphology, while coastal infrastructure development, land reclamation, and urban expansion further disrupt sediment transport and coastal dynamics. Dynamic Coasts of Malaysia aims to bring together multidisciplinary research on coastal morphodynamics, environmental change, coastal hazards, and sustainability challenges across Malaysia. We invite researchers, academics, policymakers, and practitioners to contribute original chapters covering coastal processes, vulnerability assessment, climate change impacts, remote sensing, community adaptation, and integrated coastal management. This volume will serve as a comprehensive reference to support sustainable coastal planning, resilience, and interdisciplinary collaboration for Malaysia’s dynamic coastal environments.
