What is this collection about?

Digital technologies are transforming how health behaviours are measured at the population scale. Wearables, mobile sensing, digital platforms and artificial intelligence enable continuous real-world data capture, offering opportunities to improve health outcomes. However, translating these behavioural signals into actionable, equitable public health interventions and health policy remains a challenge.

With this cross-journal Collection, the editors at Communications Healthand Nature Communications invite manuscripts that explore the use of digital technologies to measure, understand and influence population health behaviours. Communications Healthand Nature Communications will consider original Articles, Comments, Reviews and Perspectives.

Why is this collection important?

This Collection supports and amplifies research related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3) – Good Health and Well-being, by advancing understanding of the links between behaviour and health.
