I am an early-career academic researcher with a multidisciplinary academic background in geospatial sciences, computational sciences, climate change, and sustainability. I have been working on interdisciplinary research on the urban climate-energy nexus to advance policies, considering humanities, social science, and technology perspectives. I am presently working as a research scientist at the Centre of Excellence in Weather and Climate Analytics, Atmospheric Science Research Centre (ASRC), State University of New York at Albany, New York (USA). I have served as a full-time assistant professor at Amity University Noida (India) for over six years. Revisiting a wide range of research activities in the intersection areas of remote sensing and geoinformatics, environment, energy, climate change, urban weather, and climate modelling, analysis, and visualisation. Wide experience in the research pipeline embracing idea conceptualisation, research design, data collection, processing, analysis, and result generation. I have successfully completed two research projects that were sponsored by the government, serving as the sole principal investigator. Supervised a cross-functional research group of 04 PhD and 29 postgraduate students and conducted 15 academic, research, and industrial visits for undergraduates. I actively encourage young researchers to enhance their skills, knowledge, and experience by participating in conferences and outreach activities and contributing to professional membership in various organisations. I possess strong writing and communication skills, have extensive experience presenting research at international, national, regional, and local conferences, have successfully written grants, and have published more than 65 research articles in high-impact Web of Science and Scopus-indexed international journals. I have served as an ad-hoc, adjunct, or invited reviewer for over 220 research articles, as well as an editorial board member. I have authored, edited, or co-edited nine books for publications such as Elsevier, Springer, Taylor & Francis, Emerald, SAGE, and Wiley. I am dedicated to finding solutions to complex problems in the areas of climate change, urban planning, energy, the environment, and sustainability (SDGs 7, 10, 11, and 13).
