The colorful butterflies and moths have long attracted scientists and the general public. The last decades have seen a surge of discoveries on the neural basis of their various complex behaviors, such as flower foraging, mating, flight control, and navigation.
The Special Issue aims to provide future research directions in neuroethology from the comparative point of view by highlighting the recent achievements in butterflies and moths. The special issue will cover any topics with insights into how the nervous system functions.
Articles will undergo the journal’s standard peer-review process and are subject to all the journal’s standard policies. The Editors have no competing interests with the submissions which they handle through the peer-review process. The peer-review of any submissions for which the Editors have competing interests is handled by another Editorial Board Member who has no competing interests.
