Watson and Crick saw the structure of DNA in a spiral staircase, and Newton understood gravity in the falling of an apple — but all human beings regularly experience flashes of inspiration, seemingly out of nowhere. Insight researchers want to know more about the nature of the so-called ‘a-ha moment’, so they are setting us a citizen science challenge.
