This post is part of the “Celebrating Five Years of the Discover Journals” series, highlighting Discover journals and the people who have played a key role in shaping their development. The series aims to spotlight the leadership, values, and vibrant communities behind the journals.

As an editor at Discover Materials, my goal has been to foster innovative research and engage a vibrant scholarly community. Throughout my tenure, I have witnessed remarkable growth in collaboration and a shift toward greater transparency in scholarly publishing. Looking forward, I envision the journal further enhancing its impact, promoting interdisciplinary research, and embracing emerging publishing technologies.

Moreover, I would like to acknowledge MS. Annie Xu, the Associate Publisher with the Discover series, and MS. Olivia Sun, the Commissioning Editor whose rigorous support ensures our journal's continued excellence. Their commitment to maintain high standards in peer review and nurture new voices in research has significantly enriched the journal’s quality and inclusiveness.
