As a part of the Springer Nature Social Science Survey in 2017 we asked our participants why they believe that social science matters.
Reviewing the results from 491 participants the responses we received were diverse. There was, however, an overwhelming focus on the role that social science plays in helping to address societal grand challenges such as resource security, climate change and global health.
