About Ruth Blasco
I am a researcher at the Catalan Institute of Human Paleoecology and Social Evolution (IPHES-CERCA) in Tarragona, Spain.
My research focuses on human subsistence strategies during the Pleistocene from a taphonomic perspective. The aim is to investigate various aspects of human behaviour through the faunal record and to contribute to evolutionary anthropology by developing specific research subfields, including hominid–carnivore interactions.
I have been an Editorial Board Member for Scientific Reports since 2015, having led the Quaternary Taphonomy Collection, and I am currently a Guest Editor for the Forensic and Experimental Archaeology Collection.
