Hayley has a background in veterinary medicine and obtained her PhD in Cell Biology from Cardiff University, UK, in 2004. She serves as Director of the International Association of Veterinary Editors (IAVE), supporting collaboration among editors of veterinary journals and promoting high standards and best practices in animal and veterinary research publishing. Hayley joined BioMed Central in 2009 and is currently Executive Editor for the BMC Series journal portfolio.
