About AlameluMangai Raman

Dr. Alamelu Mangai Raman is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS), Al Musannah, Sultanate of Oman, with over 24 years of academic and professional experience in higher education. She holds a PhD in Human Resource Management from Mother Teresa University, India, with academic specialization in Marketing, Human Resource Management, Business Analytics, and Sustainable Development, and her work strongly aligns with Oman Vision 2040.

Dr. Raman is an accomplished researcher, editor, and academic leader. She serves as Editor with CRC Press – Taylor & Francis for the volume SMART Marketing 5.0: AI-Powered Tools and Innovations for the Digital Frontier (2026). In recognition of her scholarly excellence, she received the Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Business and Technology (ICBT Cardiff 2025), hosted by Cardiff Business School, Cardiff University, UK, for her award-winning paper “Catalysts of Innovation: Success Factors for Business Incubators in the Sultanate of Oman in Alignment with Oman Vision 2040.” She is also a recipient of a MOHERI-funded research grant (2025) for her project on AI and the Future of Higher Education in Oman.

Her research portfolio includes Scopus Q1 and Q2 journal publications, Springer and CRC Press book chapters, and authored textbooks in marketing, research methodology, and project management. Beyond research, Dr. Raman has held key leadership roles such as Head of the Scientific Research Committee, external examiner, international reviewer, session chair, and resource person in national and international academic forums. Her research interests encompass AI in business and education, sustainable marketing, entrepreneurship, human resource analytics, fintech, and consumer behaviour, and she continues to contribute actively to academic excellence, research mentoring, and institutional development.
