About Angelica Dobre

I am a Research Assistant (ACS) working in the field of aquatic ecology and the assessment of living aquatic resources, with a primary focus on natural systems. My work integrates ecological analysis, population assessment, and quantitative approaches to better understand the dynamics of fish populations under environmental variability.

In parallel, I am a PhD candidate, where my research expands toward a more integrative perspective, combining ecological, physiological, and microbiological approaches. I am particularly interested in how environmental stressors, such as temperature fluctuations, influence physiological responses, gut microbiota, and overall resilience in wild freshwater fish.

My current research focuses on the role of gut microbiota in mediating stress responses, linking microbial dynamics with immune function and physiological status. Through this approach, I aim to contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of fish health and adaptive capacity.

Overall, my work seeks to bridge fundamental research with applied fisheries management, supporting more accurate assessment of aquatic resources and the development of resilient aquatic systems in the context of ongoing environmental change.
