About Babar Hussain
Dr. Babar Hussain is a soil and environmental scientist specialising in contaminant remediation, enzyme immobilization, and soil health. He holds a Ph.D. in Soil Science from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (2020). He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the School of Environment and Resource, Southwest University of Science and Technology, China, and previously served as a postdoc at the State Key Laboratory of Geohazard Prevention and Geoenvironment Protection, Chengdu University of Technology. His earlier roles include Visiting Assistant Professor at Karakoram International University, Pakistan, and environmental technician at the Gilgit-Baltistan Environmental Protection Agency. Dr. Hussain’s research focuses on remediation of soil and water contaminants, green materials, enzyme immobilization, and soil–plant contaminant interactions. He has authored 27 peer-reviewed papers (cumulative impact factor ≈125; citations >1200; h-index 15) and 4 book chapters with Elsevier and Springer. His work has appeared in leading journals such as Environment International, Journal of Cleaner Production, and Science of the Total Environment. His professional interests encompass soil pollution control, heavy metal and organic contaminant remediation, and sustainable environmental management, as well as soil science and plant nutrition.
