Dr. Abdel Razzaq M. Al-Tawaha received his Ph.D in horticulture. His work was on increasing lettuce biomass production through nutrient management in a red tilapia hybrid based on a decoupled recirculating aquaponic system at Universiti Putra Malaysia, Selangor, Malaysia. In addition to my practical experience in aquaponics and soilless culture, I have published more than 60 publications in refereed journals indexed in Scopus and the Web of Science (Clarivate Analysis). I also have book chapters available for publication in various areas of agriculture. In addition, Dr. Tawaha has reviewed more than 120 articles for high-ranking journals.

My role as senior researcher is consistent with NARC's goal of investing the results of agricultural research, whether locally obtained or adopted from other sources, to increase crop and animal production and their efficiency for optimal and sustainable use to improve natural agricultural resources. in the service of agricultural development goals to maintain ecological balance. My mission is consistent with NARC's mission to work with our partners to strengthen the Center's role as a national umbrella organization for agricultural research to achieve sustainable, resilient development and optimal use of natural resources.
