About Ertugrul Karaca
I am a computational condensed matter physicist focusing on superconductivity, electron-phonon interactions, and quantum materials under high pressure. My research combines advanced first-principles calculations and theoretical modeling to predict novel material phases and understand the microscopic mechanisms that drive their structural, electronic, and vibrational behavior. I am particularly keen in novel phenomena in superconductors, pressure-induced phase transitions, and materials having strong electron-phonon coupling. By collaborating closely with experimental groups, I intend to bridge theory and experiments, providing predictive insights that accelerate the discovery of functional materials relevant to quantum technologies and extreme-condition physics.
My main aim is to contribute to the establishment of reliable computational frameworks that will improve our ability to generate and understand the next generation of quantum materials.
